					<description><![CDATA[Very helpful.  All of my VMs are thin.  I learned that my VMs took up less than their declared value on the VMFS volumes, and even when cloning them with vmkfstools with the -thin to a 2003 Server NFS volume, they require the entire the entire declared size on the NFS volume.  That means it makes no sense to backup to an NFS volume unless the operating system underlying the NFS store can provide good compression, which 2003 Server does.  However, 2003 and 2008 server cannot handle large files without frequent corruption, so maybe I&#039;ll try 2012 Server.  ZFS is far too much of a resource hog.  Thanks for posting this.]]></description>
