I had almost the same error a while ago with the same type of configuration. Two connection server and one view composer server. I spent a lot of time on this issue and discovered a problem with the DNS and between the DNS servers (they were three). the DNS server was corrupted and the composer could not reach the other servers.
In fact I discovered the DNS issue by chance…
