In reply to rrdrez. VM to host pinning (VM1 can only run on AHV hosts 1-3 and not on AHV hosts 4-10) is available in Nutanix AHV if that is what you want to achieve. thanks

Would I be able to create storage containers in my cluster for the purpose of “pinning” VMs only to hosts that are assigned to the containers – restricting VMs to the hosts that belong to the container? Since Nutanix does not use affinity rules I’m looking for a solution that will apply similar results as the use of rules in VMware.

If an ESXi host cannot have a container in an AHV cluster mounted as a datastore, what could be causing the problem?

a.The Controller VM IP address has not been added to the container filesystem whitelist
b.The ESXi host IP address has not been added to the container filesystem whitelist
c.The Cluster IP address has not been added to the container filesystem whitelist
d.A container has a wildcard filesystem whitelist by default

Hi,
are you trying to mount a Nutanix Container to a non Nutanix ESXi hosts for migration purposes? Have you configured whitelist on Cluster or Container level?

Hi,
have you followed the Hyper-V setup guide and pointed out the container in the VM home and VM Config folder for the Hyper-V hosts? Remember to use the cluster FQDN and not an IP address.

How to mount Nutanix container on Hyper-v Core hosts, it does not list the container created in prism – need help

i have 4 nutanix cluster of nodes with hyper-v 2012 R2 core installed. i created a container in prism and said to mound on all hosts, at prism it says successfully mounted on 4 hosts, but when i go host it does not show up the container
