Hi,
we enabled the flow control on the source and dest ports in the switches and we have not turned off. We didn’t seen any package drops, only rx_missed_errors. Don’t know why some migrations passed but my guess is that data involved in the rx_missed_errors wasn’t data (vmdk) data but other data not that important for the migration process.

Thank you for the article. I wanted to ask you couple of questions

I was reading about flow control and it was mentioned that it should be enabled on all the siwtches in the path from source to destination. You did the same ?

After the migration was completed did you switch off flow control on the switches or it is still on

Last, what make you think why the issue came up. I mean 6 migrations went well and after that there were packet drops, did something change or it randomly started loosing packets.
