It has only been 2 months since Nutanix released Acropolis Base Software, formerly known as Nutanix Operating System (NOS) version 4.5 and yesterday, 2015-12-14, Nutanix released Acropolis Base Software version 4.5.1.
This is a dot release but there are some cool stuff included:
- 1-Click Upgrade for BIOS and BMC Firmware
- This applies to Nutanix Clusters running ESXi.
- Erasure Coding (EC-X) improvements
- Nutanix Cluster Check 2.1.2
- New check called “valid_drives_config_check” is included
The Self-Service Restore option is still available as a tech preview and you know, Do not use tech previews in production systems.
