ok thanks for the information. I’m only aware of the versions listed in the blog post unfortunately but i really think you should contact VMware regarding this.

I’ve seen problems with 9.4.6 in an active/active or active/passive DB cluster where VM panics and fails over. do you know if this version is also affected?

hi,
if you can shut down the VM before making backups and or snapshots you are lucky:) I would say most of my customers can’t.

or other workaround (which we generally do as best practice):
shutdown VM before taking a snapshot
