Today, 2017-11-28, Nakivo Backup & Replication version 7.3 was released. This release adds support for deduplication appliances such as NEC Hydrastor, EMC Data Domain, HP StoreOnce, and Quantum DXi.
When tested in a customer environment, this repository has demonstrated backup speeds that are up to 53 times faster than the regular backup repository.
The new backup repository complements the existing one mean ing customers can choose between the following options:
- The regular backup repository, which is optimized for generic storage systems and performs forever-incremental VM backups along with global data deduplication and compression.
- The backup repository optimized for deduplication appliances with greatly improved backup speed.,
