Today, 2023-09-27, a new major version of Nutanix Move has been released and now it’s not only a VM migration tool which makes it possible to migrate VMs between environments with minimal downtime, but also a file migration tool since files can be migrated non Nutanix files servers to Nutanix Files. Both NFSv3 & SMBv2 and higher are supported file sharing protocols and Nutanix Files version 4.4.0 is supported.

In addition to the file migration capabilities 5.0 comes with support for additional guest operating systems & bug fixes.

You can upgrade to Move 5.0 from the following previous Move versions 4.7.0, 4.8.0, 4.9.0, plus 4.9.1
