Yesterday days ago, 2018-03-29, VMware announced a new version of vRealize Automation (vRA) and the new release will expand on the 7 release meaning the new version will be 7.4.
What I have seen so far there is one really nice enhancement that will make life easier for the vRA architects and administrators and that is enhanced multi-tenancy within vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) meaning you should not need multiple vRO instances in a multi-tenant environment.
In addition there will be a lot of enhancements including e.g.:
- The ServiceNow integration will be able to expose catalog items and day2 operations directly meaning less coding.
- Custom Form Designer, a GUI based service request form designer. This will hopefully make it easier to push self-service further to the end users. Haven’t tried it but will absolutely take a look when available.
- You will be able to provision Open Virtualization Format (OVF) objects within a blueprint.
