AHV Best Practices Guide Version 3.1 Released

A few days ago an updated version of Nutanix AHV best practices guide (BPG) was released meaning the latest version available is 3.1. The BPG still covers the following areas:

  • Networking
  • Virtual Machine High Availability
  • Acropolis Dynamic Scheduler
  • VM Deployment
  • Nutanix Guest Tools
  • VM Data Protection
  • Hypervisor Mobility and Conversion
  • Live Migration
  • CPU Configuration
  • Memory
  • Disks
  • Resource Oversubscription
  • Huge Pages

Changes have been made regarding:

  • SCSI UNMAP and Thin Provisioning
  • Clone powered on VM
  • VM Mobility Driver is changed to VirtIO
