Today, 2017-09-06, Nutanix released an updated version of Acropolis Operating System (AOS) formerly known as Nutanix Operating System (NOS) and this means that the most current AOS version is 5.1.2.
The AOS 5.1.2 release includes improvements to the following areas:
- AHV-Management
- Cassandra
- Curator
- Data protection
- Hyper-V
- Infrastructure Services
- In-Place Hypervisor Conversion also known as Dial
- Metro Availability Witness
- Nutanix Guest Tools
- Powershell-Cmdlets
- Prism
- Security
- Self-Service Portal
- Stargate
As you can see quite a lot of improvements included in this release.

In addition to AOS, a new version of Prism Central was also released meaning the latest version is now 5.1.2
