Nutanix Database Service (NDB) 2.5.5.1

Yesterday, 2024-06-17, a patch release for 2.5.5 was made available meaning the latest NDB version is 2.5.5.1. As per definition a patch release comes with very limited content and is typically released to address one or a few minor issues. Also, unless you have already noticed, AOS 6.8 is supported with NDB 2.5.5.1 as well as with 2.5.5 (which it wasn’t when 2.5.5 was released).

Prior to NDB 2.5.5.1 a registration attempt for a Database Server VM running MongoDB & PostgreSQL would fail if nosuid was configured for /tmp. With 2.5.5.1 you can relax this validation and successfully register such DB Server VM with NDB.

The following software versions are supported with NDB 2.5.5.1

• AOS – 6.8, 6.7, 6.6, 6.5, 6.1.1, 6.1, 6.0.x, 5.20.x, 5.15.x
• AHV versions bundled with AOS 6.7, 6.6, 6.5, 6.1.1, 6.1, 6.0.x, 5.20.x, 5.15.x
• vSphere 7.0, 6.7, and 6.5
