Nutanix Move 5.3

Today, 2024-06-10, a new version of Nutanix Move was released the latest available version is now 5.3. With Move you can migrate both VMs between environments with minimal downtime and also migrate files to Nutanix Files.

The following capabilities and improvements has been added to Move 5.3 in addition to bug fixes:

  • Migration support from VMware Cloud to AHV, both on-prem & NC2 on AWS.
  • IP Retention when migrating VMware Cloud to NC2 on AWS.
  • New Guest OS: Ubuntu 20.04 from Azure to AHV

The following migration types are supported with Nutanix Move:

  • Nutanix AHV to
    • Nutanix AHV
    • AWS EC2
    • Microsoft Azure Cloud
    • NC2 on AWS/Azure
  • NC2 on:
    • AWS/Azure to Nutanix AHV
    • Azure to NC2 on Azure
  • AWS EC2 to:
    • AHV
    • VMware ESXi on Nutanix
    • NC2 on AWS
  • Microsoft Hyper-V to:
    • AHV
    • VMware ESXi on Nutanix
    • NC2 on AWS
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud to:
    • AHV
    • VMware ESXi on Nutanix
    • NC2 on Azure
  • VMware ESXi (legacy infrastructure or Nutanix) to:
    •  AHV
    • VMware ESXi on Nutanix
  • VMware ESXi to:
    • Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS
    • NC2 on Microsoft Azure

You can upgrade to Move 5.3 from the following previous Move versions 5.0.0, 5.1.0, 5.1.1, and 5.2.0.
