One day before Nutanix .next conference in Barcelona 21-23 May 2024 Nutanix releases a new major version of Nutanix Objects (Objects) meaning the latest version is now 5.0. Nutanix Objects is a software-defined Object Store Service and that you can consume & managed via both standard S3 APIs and Prism Central.

Version 5.0 comes with the following new features & existing feature enhancements:
- IAM-High Availability Brownfield Support
- Replication Enhancements
- filters based on object name prefixes or object tags
- S3 – replication from non-version bucket to an S3 bucket
- Fault Tolerance Improvements
- Accessibility Support for Object Browser
- Delete Bucket management improvement meaning the owner plus admin can delete an empty bucket directly, admin can delete non-empty buckets hich meets the following criteria
- WORM (write once readm many) not configured
- Replication rules not enabled
- Is not part of any Federation.
- Language-based auto-suggestions for efficient text-based object editing.
- Stream large audio and video objects for quick previews, eliminating wait times.
- S3 Select support for Objects Browser
