Yesterday, 2017-08-16, Nutanix released a new version of its Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Pack meaning the latest release is now version 2.0. A major change in this version is that it uses Nutanix Representational state transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (API) and the dependency for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) has been removed. Pretty good, right !!!!
Additional improvements:
- SCOM alerts and thresholds reflects the settings in PRISM
- New objects such as VMs and Host network interfaces.
- Static properties are discovered
- Dynamic properties are included as performance graphs
- Easier configuration
