vRealize Automation Version 7.5 Announced

A few days ago VMware announced a new version of vRealize Automation (vRA) and the new release will expand on the release version 7 and provide a version 7.5

Some of the new and updated features

  • Support for NSX-T on-premises that is on pair with NSX-V including
    • Application Isolation
    • Load balancers
    • On-demand NAT networks
    • On-demand Routed Network
    • Security Groups)
  • Add-Ons to public cloud offering:
    • AWS – Keep certification for VMware Cloud on AWS meaning continues support for AWS as an endpoint. Definitely expected.
    • Azure – Managed disks, Azure Government and Azure Germany.
    • Google Cloud Platfom (GCP) – will be a target for IaaS deployments.
  • Improved, expanding to daily (day 2) operations, integration between vRA and vRealize Operations.
  • Take advantage of ServiceNow governance and vRA entitlements via a new vRA ServiceNow plugin which should be available later this year. Apart from improved forms support, enhanced day 2 operations it also includes support for multiple vRA instances.  vSphere, AWS, Azure and XaaS blueprints are supported.
  • UI for both vRA and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) are built on the Clarity design providing the same look and feel throughout the vRealize suite. Also a new search functionality is included. 
  • Pivotal Container Services (PKS) support. In addition to support for Docker hosts and vSphere Integrated Containers (VIC) vRA 7.5 will support PKS which is based on Kubernetes.
