Today, 2016-04-19, Nutanix released AOS, formerly known as Acropolis Base Software and Nutanix Operating System (NOS), version 4.6.1.
Apart from Security enhancements i just wanted to point out two things in this release:
- You can now apply minor ESXi patches via PRISM. This was possible using the command line before (since AOA version 4.5). All you need is the offline bundle and md5sum checksum available from VMware.
- Tech preview: Convert your existing ESXi cluster to AHV via PRISM is now available as a tech preview. As with any other tech preview you should not use or try this feature in your production environment.

PRISM Central version 4.6.1 was released yesterday (2016-04-18). PRISM Search, Capacity Forecast and Dashboard Customisation are now GA and no longer tech previews. PRISM Central can be downloaded here. PRISM Central release notes can be found here.
