I’m currently in a vCloud Automation Center (vCAC) 6.0 project where all the potential end users must use smart card authentication. This is a company policy and we can not change this requirement.
Apparently there is a bug in vCAC and the SSO integration which prevent us from being able to use smart card to log on to the vCAC portal.
We have tried to use both the vCAC Single Sign On (SSO) Appliance as well as the vCenter Server 5.5.0b SSO without success.
When using the vCAC SSO Appliance the User name: and Password: fields are left empty and you can not continue.
When using the vCenter Server 5.5.0b SSO the User name is added to the textbox but you can not proceed and log on anyway.
As soon as i find a solution (workaround or patch) i’ll update the blog post.
