A while ago i posted a blog about how to protect database data for DBs managed by Era. The blog post was based on a Nutanix public document i put together and it can be found here here
This is just a short blog post to let you know that the Nutanix document has since been updated to reflect the new capabilities with Era version 2.1 that was released Jan 5:th 2021.
The most obvious change to the document is based on the new Era, version 2.1, capability to secure database transaction log files to a Nutanix cluster where the DB VM is not running. This will dramatically reduce the Era cross Nutanix cluster recovery point objective (RPO) capability from hours to minutes.
